SP Danmark A/S has been taken over by EKTOS A/S

EKTOS A/S has signed a deal with SP Danmark A/S to become the fourth company in the EKTOS group. SP Danmark offers state-accredited typetesting services at their facility in Copenhagen. Monday, May 1st, is the official date when SP Danmark A/S will become “EKTOS Testing & Reliability Services A/S” (in short: “EKTOS TRS”).

“By taking over SP Danmark A/S (now: EKTOS TRS) and by incorporating the daughter company into the EKTOS organization, our area of expertise and services now also includes state accredited testing services” says Niels Martin Jørgensen, chairman of the board of EKTOS A/S and EKTOS TRS A/S. Niels Martin underlines that the negotiations and the collaboration concerning the handover with the Swedish institute RISE has been smooth and problem free.

The administrative director, Kennet Palm, as well as the rest of the team in Copenhagen, continue working as they have done till now, and there will be no operational changes or changes in the services offered. Kennet Palm will join the group of owners of EKTOS TRS A/S.

The former chairman of SP Danmark, Peter Leisner, says: We are happy about the agreement we have made with EKTOS. At RISE we look forward to further, great collaboration with our former colleagues in EKTOS TRS A/S who now are a part of another constellation which opens doors for new possibilities.

SP Sveriges Tekniska Forskningsinstitut A/S (SP Denmark), in the process of changing its name to EKTOS Testing & Reliability Services A/S – abbreviated as “EKTOS TRS“ below – has been the subsidiary of the Swedish limited liability company RISE Research Institutes of Sweden AB – formerly SP Sveriges Tekniska Forskningsinstitut AB – (below “RISE”) since 1st February 2012 but was purchased by the Danish limited liability company EKTOS A/S (below “EKTOS”) on 1 May 2017. RISE is a part of a group of research companies, headed by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden Holding AB – below the “RISE-Group”. There is no connection between EKTOS and RISE or EKTOS and the RISE-Group. Nor are there any connections between EKTOS TRS and RISE or EKTOS TRS and the RISE-Group after 1 May 2017.
