Mini video about Ball Impact Testing

Consumer electronics as well as industrial electronics are likely to be exposed to intentional and unintentional mechanical impacts during their operational life. By performing mechanical testing, such as the ”ball impact test” we can find the weak points and improve the product.

We perform ball impact testing in our lab in Copenhagen. A steel ball is dropped accurately onto a product to simulate the product being hit by an object. The main purpose is to verify that the product will not break or become hazardous, for example by an induced defect leading to an elevated risk of electrical shock.
