TRS Accreditation Expanded with Four New Standards

TRS Accreditation Expanded with Four New Standards

We are thrilled to announce that EKTOS Testing and Reliability Services – TRS has added four new standards to our list of accreditation. This expansion is in line with our commitment to ensuring the highest level of reliability and quality for our customers to achieve excellence across various industries. The new standards include:

The Marine standard:  Lloyd’s Register Type Approval System Test Specification Number 1, December 2021

The Marine standard of Lloyd’s Register sets rules and requirements for ships and offshore structures, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and performance criteria. The Type Approval System Test Specification Number 1 is a specific evaluation and certification test.

The standard for IMT cellular Network:  EN 301 908-1 V15.2.1 (2023-01)  Harmonized Standard for access to radio spectrum; Part 1: Introduction and common requirements

The IMT cellular network standard is defined by EN 301 908-1. This harmonized standard establishes guidelines for radio spectrum access, particularly focusing on the introduction and common requirements. It provides technical specifications and principles to ensure the efficient and compatible operation of IMT cellular networks, facilitating seamless communication and connectivity.

The Railway standard: EN 50121-3-2_2016_A1_2019 Railway applications – Electromagnetic compatibility – Part 3-2: Rolling stock – Apparatus

The railway standard EN 50121-3-2 pertains to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in railway applications, specifically focusing on rolling stock apparatus. It is part of the broader EN 50121 standard, which addresses EMC requirements in railway systems. EN 50121-3-2 sets guidelines for ensuring the EMC compliance of electronic devices and equipment used in rolling stock, reducing electromagnetic emissions, and ensuring immunity to external disturbances. Complying with this standard ensures the safe and reliable operation of rolling stock in the railway environment.

The Alarm standard: IEC 62599-2_2010 Part 2: Electromagnetic compatibility – Immunity requirements for components of fire and security alarm system

The alarm standard IEC 62599-2 focuses on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and sets immunity requirements for components used in fire and security alarm systems. It specifically addresses the ability of these components to withstand electromagnetic disturbances without compromising their proper functioning. Compliance with this standard ensures that alarm system components maintain their reliability and effectiveness, even in the presence of electromagnetic interference. It is designed to enhance the overall performance and resilience of fire and security alarm systems.

Marinestandard:  Lloyd’s Register Type Approval System Test Specification Number 1, December 2021

Standard for IMT cellular Network:  EN 301 908-1 V15.2.1 (2023-01)  Harmonized Standard for access to radio spectrum; Part 1: Introduction and common requirements

Jernbanestandard: EN 50121-3-2_2016_A1_2019 Railway applications – Electromagnetic compatibility – Part 3-2: Rolling stock – Apparatus

Alarmstandard: IEC 62599-2_2010 Part 2: Electromagnetic compatibility – Immunity requirements for components of fire and security alarm system
